KIDS HOPE USA

COMMUNITY CHILDREN NEED YOU!
  • · Mentoring means to commit to 45 minutes to an hour one day a week during the school year to mentor a student. The mentor chooses the time he/she is available.
  • · During the mentoring time, mentors and students talk, play games, do some academic work, laugh, and get to know each other. Working on the relationship is much more important than any academic work. Mentors are not tutors, though they may help with academic work.
  • · Each mentor has a prayer partner who supports the mentor and child relationship with prayer.
  • · Kids Hope USA provides 3 hours of training
  • · We especially need male mentors to match with male students.
  • · WILL YOU PRAYERFULLY CONSIDER BEING A KIDS HOPE USA MENTOR?

One simple thing will make a big difference in the life of an at-risk child: One-on-one, positive attention from a responsible, caring adult.

Kids Hope USA develops these one-on-one relationships through the creation of church-school partnerships that pair church members with at-risk kids in supportive, mentoring relationships.

Kids Hope USA mentors spend just one hour per week, reading, talking, playing and listening to a child at school. By helping the child feel loved and valued, they help that child to learn, grow and succeed.

You can change a life…and that’s no small change.

Kids Hope USA Mentor Program

Our Kids Hope mentors begin their mentoring program. Please support our program by:

 praying for the kids we will encounter

 praying for the mentors as they walk into the school for the first time, and meet the child they will mentor

 praying for our leadership team, as they work closely with the school, our prayer partners, and mentors

We have many more possible kids to mentor this year. If you are interested, please contact Yvonne Welsh or Pastor Jen.
