High School Happenings

FEAST of FIRE – April 8th

FIRE 2 – April 11th, 18th, 25th

FEAST of FIRE and FIRE 2

Feast of FIRE and FIRE 2 are “mini-Sabbaths,” providing time for our high school students to hang out and check in with one another. It’s a casual time, very similar to a confirmation care group where we share highs and lows, prayer, and food.

All high school students are welcome to attend and you can bring a friend. You can find us in the Youth Room.

FIRE2 meets from 8:15 – 9:15 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Youth Room following confirmation, or after Lenten worship. Plenty of time to hang out and take a mid-week break with friends.

Feast of FIRE meets once a month from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Youth Room. We hope to see you there.

FIRE 2 and Feast of Fire (FOF)

Feast of FIRE and FIRE 2 are “mini-Sabbaths,” providing time for our high school students to hang out and check in with one another, our adult leaders, and Pastor Jen. It’s a casual time, very similar to a confirmation care group where we share highs and lows, prayer, and food. All high school students are welcome to attend and you can bring a friend. You can find us in the Youth Room.

Feast of FIRE: usually once a month on Sunday nights from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. We meet for a longer time, and you are welcome to bring food to share with others, like a potluck. We eat and usually play games, hang out, share highs and lows, and prayer.

FIRE2: meets on Wednesdays after Confirmation from 8:15 - 9:15 p.m. in the youth room. If Confirmation is on break, we are on break. Snacks, sharing highs and lows, prayer at the end. Plenty of time to hang out and take a mid-week break.

Check Calendar for upcoming dates.

FIRE

FIRE is a high school fellowship group that meets Sunday nights from 7-9pm during the school year one Sunday a month.  Check our monthly calendars for dates. Take a break from your week and come to church to connect with friends!

FIRE2

FIRE2 is held immediately after confirmation on Wednesday nights. FIRE2 begins in September on Wednesdays from 8:15-9:15pm. Come early and feel free to do homework in the Narthex. 9th-12th grades welcome.

Confirmation

Confirmation is our faith-formation youth ministry program for all 7th, 8th & 9th graders that meets on Wednesday evenings at 7pm from September through May (with breaks during Lent and school holidays). Activities include large & small group learning, fellowship, service & fun. Confirmation students attend a week-long camp at the end of their 8th grade year at Augustana College, students learn about their faith journey, while making friends that last a lifetime. The year is packed with large group learning events, small group check-ins, service projects and fellowship times.

High School Mission Trip

Our youth mission trips focus on faith-building activities as we serve people in need. Past trips include: Katrina Hurricane relief, serving people who are elderly, building ramps, painting houses, and serving urban areas affected by poverty and unemployment. Each mission trip has a "camp" built into the experience, focusing on our relationship with God and others.
